NW Furniture Bank

Haley Haines from NW Furniture Bank and her team of volunteers received a polly tutorial then created fifteen centerpieces for their October 10th event, Vancouver Chair Affair. The centerpieces, made with polly grown rose geranium, peterkort lisianthus and garden roses, and locally grown dahlias will be transferred to vintage containers then sold at VCA for $50 each. Polly’s donation included the tutorial, the rose geranium, and flowers at cost. 'NW Furniture Bank serves as the primary furniture source for agencies across Pierce, South King, Clark, and Cowlitz Counties, boasting locations in Tacoma and Vancouver, WA. NWFB collects and warehouses furniture for clients referred by community partners. As families and individuals progress through programs and transitional housing to rebuild their lives, they often find themselves with little or no possessions. Affording housing and food is a struggle for many, making basic furniture an unattainable luxury, including essentials like a bed or a table.’ Read more here.
