Youngset is a nonprofit cooperative school that has been celebrating play-based learning since 1967. Their unique program focuses on building each child’s natural curiosity with a broad spectrum of hands-on experiences, from planting seeds, and composting to paper making and classes from local artists. Which is exactly what the funds of this sale will go to—more supplies for richer experiences, backing up their low tuition ensuring affordability for all families, with scholarship opportunities as well.
Youngset believes that encouraging children to explore their own interests in a warm, caring and child-centered environment is what builds a strong foundation for social and intellectual development—because they’re not just preparing kids for kindergarten, they’re preparing them for life.
